poppy & ben

Poppy & Ben are the epitome of marrying your best friend. They share so much love for one another & their little boy. Their wedding was based around Ben's family home in Hamilton, a small town about an hour out of Auckland, New Zealand. The family property was made for this wedding. It was so special for them to get married here.

We were greeted with a huge hug from Poppy when we arrived, "my Aussies are here!". Capturing them from the start of the day to the very end felt like we had been friends forever. Their love is so genuine, so real, so impressive! Poppy got ready with her girls along with her Dad and Ben's Mum. The moments between them all were the sweetest.

The greens from the grass to the trees, the blue sky, the love that was ever so present, all tied their day together.

Their ceremony was held on the Hamilton river. Their guests were greeted with champagne and a wedding sign which doubled as a fabulous photo opportunity. Everyone took their seats facing towards the river and watched them tie the knot, with their little boy snuggled into his Mum's side as they stood up their saying their vows. On their way back down the aisle together as husband and wife, they were greeted by a a spectacular overflow of confetti to celebrate their recent I Do's. They were hugged, kissed and congratulated before heading off with their wedding party for photo time. With drinks in hand, we got the party started.

They entered their reception with wide smiles as the sun lowered behind them. We didn't dare miss out on the golden hour at this breathtaking location!

They finished their reception with even wider smiles, dancing and more kisses and hugs from loved ones. They celebrated under a generous marquee, creating the perfect indoor/outdoor vibe with heaters surrounding us as the cool March air came in at dusk. The fairy lights twinkling above created the most gorgeous mood lighting. The last photos we got, of course, were on the dance floor. The best way to say goodbye is with a boogie!
